You can find numerous lip gloss colors, especially in NYX’s collection. They offer colorless glosses and natural colors. But NYX is also renowned for its dark and bright lip gloss colors.
It’s important to know which color to choose for a few reasons. If you’re looking for a simple gloss to keep in your purse, you’ll likely want a natural color. Even if you want something more pigmented, you should also consider your skin tones and undertones to know which shades will look good on you.
I also suggest having a lip gloss color wardrobe. I have several lip gloss colors, all ranging from natural to extremely dark. Since NYX offers every lip gloss color imaginable, you can buy various lip gloss colors and mix and match them!

Butter Gloss
There’s a reason why I’m mentioning this one first. It’s a fan favorite and their highest-rated lip gloss. Actually, I may argue that this is their highest-rated product in general. The main reason I love this lip gloss is the color selection. If you want a natural-looking gloss, NYX offers every color for each skin tone and undertone.
I have the Butter Gloss in shade Praline. It’s a neutral-toned medium beige color that looks great on my pale skin. I recommend these shades if you want a gloss to keep in your purse during the daytime.
If you want a Butter Gloss to wear on a date or on a night out with friends, NYX offers so many shades for you. There are various red colors, from creamy ruby Red Velvet to bright red Apple Crisp. NYX even offers bright colors, such as Orangesicle, Summerfruit (vibrant pink), and even Blueberry Tart (yes it’s blue).
These glosses are also some of the most affordable on the market. These only go for $5; you can purchase several colors and still not break the bank.
I reviewed the Butter Gloss a few months ago. While I liked this gloss, there are definite downsides. First, these aren’t moisturizing at all. A couple of hours after wearing them, my lips started getting dry. I washed the gloss off and replaced it with my chapstick.
Moisture is something I look for in a lip gloss, so I tend to use different lip gloss brands or even just my handy dandy chapstick as my daily gloss.

This Is Milky Gloss Milkshakes
I haven’t tried this lip gloss, but I’m reading it offers everything that Butter Gloss doesn’t. First, these glosses are very moisturizing. They’re formulated with vegan milk so your lips feel soft and the consistency of the gloss is very creamy.
I also love the color selection. While the Milky Gloss doesn’t have as many colors as the Butter Gloss, they’re available in funky colors with a glassy finish. For example, Mango Lassi looks pale yellow. They do have some neutrals; I love Choco Latte Shake, which is a rich brown. Keep in mind that some aren’t pigmented at all. The Mint Choc Chip Shake looks clear, not green.
These glosses do have a scent; I’m reading they smell like milkshakes. I don’t mind scented lip gloss, but I know this is a con for some consumers. These are slightly more expensive than the Butter Gloss. The Milky Gloss is $8.50, which still isn’t terribly priced.

There’s a reason these are called the Juice Gloss. Your lips feel juicy and moist, never sticky. Keep in mind that the glosses still feel heavy on the lips. I don’t really like a heavy gloss, so that’s why I’m mentioning this detail.
They are $8 each, which is more expensive than the Butter Gloss but still won’t break the bank. There are a few color options, though these glosses aren’t as pigmented as the Butter Glosses. These glosses do have a scent, which I know some people don’t like.

This is one of those lip glosses that have color on one end, and the other end is a clear gloss top coat. Like Butter Gloss, these lip glosses are available in so many colors. But I recommend these glosses if you truly want a pigmented gloss. There are some light colors, such as the nude-pink Born to Hustle. There are also darker colors, such as the rich brown Boundary Pusher.
As far as the top gloss is concerned, it gives a nice glassy appearance to the color and doesn’t feel sticky. There are some downsides to these glosses. Some complained that the colors aren’t accurate to what you see in the pictures. These are also very drying on your lips.

While I’m reading this isn’t as moisturizing as other similar lip products, it’s great if you want something simple and affordable. This lip conditioner is also very versatile. You can wear it with any makeup look, keep it in your purse, or you can wear it as an overnight lip treatment.
The gloss doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on your lips. It dries down and absorbs quickly, perfect if you don’t want something too glossy.

These glosses are interesting because they have a creamy texture, thanks to vegan milk. While the glosses do feel sticky at first, they quickly dry down and have a creamier feeling. The vegan milk is also very moisturizing on the lips.
All of these glosses are available in unique shades. While Milk n’ Hunny is a popular neutral shade, these glosses are also available in vivid colors. I like Lilac Splash, which is a pale purple color. All of the colors are buildable and have a shiny finish. The glosses do have a scent, which I’m reading is described as sweet and not overwhelming.

If you just want a simple moisturizing lip balm, this is the product for you. It has a silky formula and is made with hydrating ingredients. The moisturizing properties last for hours. I would try this, but I hate the packaging. I avoid these lip balm tins like the plague.
Grabbing the stuff out with my fingers is weird, and these things get so dirty. I also hate having that balm on my fingers. This gloss also has a vanilla-cherry blossom scent, which I would think smells nice but reviewers say it smells gross.
