My personal favorite concealer brush is the Smashbox blurring brush. Ever since I started using this brush I haven’t used foundation, all I use now is concealer and some finishing powder. Materials you’ll need 

Gather the following items: a plate, paper towels, a spa cleaning glove, olive oil, and Dawn antibacterial dishwashing.  Dawn dish soap is recommended by makeup artists because of its excellent degreasing qualities.

Step one 

Pour some liquid soap on one side, then olive oil on the other. Swirl your makeup brush where the soap and oil meet, then swirl some more until you feel like you have enough product. In the palm of your hand, you’ll swirl the brush. Whirl and swirl until you’re satisfied that it’s clean enough. Carry on like this until you’ve cleaned all of your brushes.

It’s time to rinse them when you’ve finished cleaning them. Only use lukewarm water to clean your makeup brushes since this is the optimum temperature for their bristles. Also, make sure the bristles of the brush are at the bottom and facing downwards. If you hold the cosmetic brush sideways, water will seep into the brush, causing the glue that binds the bristles together to break down. 

Step 2 

Now it’s time to get the spa cleaning glove involved. Put on the glove and start swirling away with your brushes. If they don’t seem to have enough soap in them still, go ahead and add a little bit more Dawn on your glove. Keep cleaning the brush until the water and bubbles become clear. 

Once you’re done that, thoroughly rinse the brush through lukewarm water. Then go ahead and squeeze down on the bristles to remove any excess water. Do not twist or ‘ring’ the bristles as it will rip out a few and cause damage in the future. 

Lastly, lay out some paper towels and line your brushes upon them. Let them air dry and see how clean they are! 

Although cleaning your makeup brushes may seem like a long, never-ending chore, you will see how worth cleaning them is when you go to do your makeup again.
