Question: Which Tarte Foundation Shade Should I Get?
Answer: If you’re anywhere near a Sephora, they can match you with a shade using their Color IQ Technology. You can also go to Sephora (and maybe Ulta) and get some samples. Otherwise, Tarte offers an online Foundation Matchmaker. This tool not only matches you with the perfect shade but also the perfect foundation formula.
I decided to try and use this. First, you put what skin type you are. I’m overall normal but am more on the dry side in the winter. I’m writing this in the summer/fall, so I’m going to say “normal.” Next, it asks you about your coverage preference. I like coverage but I hate full coverage foundation, so I’m putting medium coverage. Then, it asks your finish. I put natural.
Next comes the shade. First, you choose your shade range. I’m pale so I’m choosing Fair to Light. Then, it asks you to be more specific. Choose the model that best fits your skin tone. I’m choosing Fair-Light because I have color in my skin. Next, choose your undertone. I already know I’m neutral.
Here’s my result! Tarte recommends I use the Babassu Foundclear Foundation in 16N, the Clay Stick Foundation in Fair-Light Neutral, and the Shape Tape Concealer in Fair-Light Neutral.
Question: Is Tarte Foundation REALLY Waterproof?
Answer: Tarte says it is, but I’ve never tried this personally.

Answer: Tarte is one of the best brands for mature skin. Their products don’t crease or cake around wrinkles. In addition, just about all of their products are formulated to blur the look of fine lines and wrinkles, helping your skin look more youthful.
