I personally love the baby pink color and how easily you can transport this bottle. It will stand out in your makeup collection whilst fitting easily into your makeup bag.

This primer lasts up to 8 hours. While it doesn’t last as long as the Milk Hydro Grip Primer, it will still keep your makeup on all day long.
Application 8/10
The jelly-like formula is easy to apply to your face. Just scoop a pea-sized amount onto your fingers and apply it all over your face. However, it would be easier to apply to your face if this was a pump bottle like the Milk Hydro Grip Primer.
Formula & Effect 9/10
This primer hydrates your skin, keeps your makeup on for hours, and reduces the appearance of pores. It is vegan and cruelty-free with skin-loving ingredients aloe and cucumber extract. However, the formula can be quite sticky.

I’ve found some of their products can be hit or miss, but sometimes they offer products that really hit the ball out of the park – this primer does just that. This glass liquid skin primer markets itself as creating the ‘Korean glass skin trend’, meaning it will give you glowing skin.

I have mixed feelings about this primer. While it works as a treat for those with dry skin, I would avoid it if you have sensitive or oily skin as it can enhance pores and the formula is super sticky. You will feel this primer on your face for most of the day. However, it does the trick by giving your glowing skin that illuminates in photos.
Packaging 8/10
I love the glitter box that this primer comes in! The bottle is more simple (black and clear) but comes in a pump bottle that is easy to apply to your fingers.
Longevity 8/10
This primer lasts up to 6 hours so it is perfect for your next night out.
Application 6/10
Top tip: Use a makeup brush to apply this primer. This product is very sticky and it will get all over your fingers. It has a pump bottle (like the Milk Hydro Grip Primer) and it will go on your face smoothly if you use a makeup brush to apply it.

How does it compare to the Milk Hydro Grip Primer?
While Milk Hydro Grip Primer has a better formula (less sticky), the Revolution Glass Liquid Skin Primer does give you a hydrated glow to your makeup look. This primer doesn’t last as long it is one of the cheapest dupes you can get but is one to consider if you have dry skin.
3. The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer
The Ordinary is universally known for its cheap skin-care products that do wonders for your skin. I own a lot of their products and found a significant difference in my skin. I now have clearer, hydrated skin thanks to The Ordinary products. Their primer is unbelievably cheap and my next dupe to recommend.

I love how The Ordinary designs its products. They all feel like they were made straight out of the science lab! This primer has the iconic ‘science’ label and bronze color.
Longevity 2/10
The main thing that lets this primer down is its longevity. Unlike the Milk Hydro Grip Primer, The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer only lasts a few hours as your makeup will start to come off. This is fine if you want to snap some Instagram selfies of your glamorous makeup look when you first do your makeup but don’t use this primer if you are out all day.
Application 10/10
An easy bottle that pushes out the product into pea-sized amounts which can be easily put on your face.
Formula & Effect 7/10
The formula is smooth and creamy (due to the silicone ingredients), however, it does have a harsh chemical smell to it that can put off some users. While the longevity of this primer isn’t great, it does give a smooth and hydrating effect to your skin.
Price 10/10
This is a steal for such a good primer! It is only $6.00 (Ulta Beauty).
How does it compare to the Milk Hydro Grip Primer?
The Ordinary primer offers hydration, a silky smooth base and reduces the appearance of pores. It was on track to be my favourite primer but the longevity is weak, meaning it won’t keep your makeup look on all day. However, its price makes up for this and this is a great dupe compared to the Milk Hydro Grip Primer.

- Revolution Glass Liquid Skin Primer: This primer works magic on your skin, giving the ultimate glowy finish. However, you need to avoid this primer if you have sensitive or oily skin. Its formula is super sticky but does the ‘grip’ primer effect perfectly. It is also super affordable. 6/10.
- The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer: I would still highly rate this primer even if it doesn’t keep makeup on all day. Its price and effects quickly make up for the weak longevity. It gives you a silky smooth base that hydrates your skin. 7/10.

The perfect set-up for gorgeous makeup, the Touche Eclat Blur Primer simultaneously helps to even the skin tone, blur pores and fine lines, creating the perfect canvas for further cosmetics to work on. Helps makeup last longer and allows light to diffuse across the skin more evenly.
3. Make Up For Ever Step 1 Hydra Booster Primer
This primer was named Allure Best of Beauty winner in 2021 and it is super hydrating – perfect if you have dry skin! It also keeps makeup on for a ridiculous amount of time (up to 24 hours!). It is on the more expensive side but it is one to consider if you already own the Milk Hydro Grip Primer (Sephora $37.00).
The Hydra Booster Step 1 Primer is a skin-perfecting and softening base. It instantly hydrates and softens the skin, delivering a plumped effect and an instant luminous finish that lasts 24 hours.
